March 23, 2015 — Al Stewart, the folk-rock musician best known for his 1976 hit single “Year of the Cat,” will perform with special guest Dave Nachmanoff on Fri., April 10 at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. All ages are welcome to attend.
Al Stewart and Dave Nachmanoff released a live album together, Uncorked, in 2009.
Al Stewart got his start as part of the British folk revival in the 1960s and 1970s. He developed a unique style of combining folk-rock songs with delicately woven tales of characters and events from history. Stewart has released sixteen studio and three live albums, and continues to tour extensively in the United States, Canada and Europe.
Singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Dave Nachmanoff saw Al Stewart live for the first time at Royal Albert Hall in London in 1985 and in 2006 came back and performed with him. As a side player (guitar, piano, bass, accordion and more) he’s worked with Stewart on a regular basis as well as many others at hundreds of venues.
Randy Now (Randy Ellis) is the owner of Randy Now’s Man Cave, located at 134 Farnsworth Avenue in Bordentown, New Jersey. Randy got his start as DJ Randy Now in the 1970s at City Gardens in Trenton, NJ. He went on to work as a club promoter at City Gardens booking over 4,000 musical artists.
